POSTPONED Biomethane as Fuel: Stakeholder Meeting 10.00 -12.00

  • Thursday 14th April 2011, Hethel Engineering Centre, Hethel Norfolk

Meeting to be rescheduled for May
InCrops hosts a stakeholder meeting on biomethane as fuel on Thursday 14th April 10.00 -12.00 at Hethel Enterprise Centre, Hethel, Norwich NR14 8FB

Currently there are a few anaerobic digestion plants in operation and many more planned. With the combination of financial incentives for renewable heat and power, lower duty, emissions charge into London plus rising oil prices there is a strong case for companies converting their fleets to biomethane. This meeting is to highlight how conversion to biomethane as fuel could save companies money, both now and in the future.

Registration  - to attend this event please contact Julia O’Rourke, InCrops events co-ordinator, by email j.orourke@uea.ac.uk or call 01603 591765 by 6th April.

The aim of the meeting is to:

    •    Highlight the business case for biomethane as fuel
    •    Identify the demand for a co-ordinated approach on biomethane as fuel in the East of England
    •    Investigate the potential for a pilot-trail demonstration in the region
    •    Identify interested parties in being part of a potential European project, co-ordinated by the UEA’s Low Carbon Innovation Centre in association with InCrops.

There will be presentations from InCrops and Adnams BioGroup. This meeting is free to attend with coffee and refreshments provided from 10am with presentations to start at 10.15.
