Consultancy opportunity for the development of a bioenergy strategy for the InCrops Enterprise Hub. Deadline for responses 20 August 2010
The overall aim of this study is to identify opportunities in research and technology development and transfer for the InCrops Enterprise Hub. The strategy should take into consideration the partnership knowledge base, technical capabilities and infrastructure, in the context of the UK and prominent international markets. It should cover applications in power, heat and transport and include current and advanced conversion technologies. It should identify opportunities in feedstock development, biomass pre-treatment, conversion processes and end-uses. It should also identify opportunities to improve the environmental and economic performance of bioenergy systems – e.g. through the production of high-value co-products.

The Bioenergy Strategy must be developed in consultation with the InCrops Steering Group. The final bioenergy strategy must be delivered by the 1st December 2010.
