    Thursday 23rd September - Sunday 26th September

CPRE Norfolk’s popular Green Buildings Open Days will once again be taking place this year, offering guided, informative tours of 12 energy-efficient properties and projects between Thursday 23rd and Sunday 26th September.

Among the properties featured for 2010 are a shed made from rammed-earth, a kit house from Bavaria, a converted pub in Corpusty and a house built into a North Norfolk hillside.  Also offering guided tours are two community projects: a straw bale village hall in Neatishead and a community initiative throughout Reepham which aims to reduce the whole town’s carbon footprint, and encompasses new technologies, retro-fits and car clubs.   The buildings opening for tours in 2010 are:

Booking is essential for all the tours, and this year bookings can be made online, thanks to the support of the Energy Saving Trust.  For a brochure and online bookings, visit www.cprenorfolk.org.uk/opendays

If you are unable to book online call the Energy Saving Trust Advice Centre on 01376 531 547.

Directions to each property will be sent on booking.  Please note that due to demand, bookings for non-CPRE members are limited to three tours per person before 12th September.

We advise you to book promptly as 85% of tours were full to capacity last time around and many people were disappointed.
