Making Passivhaus mainstream: The German experience  Christine Reumscheussel, founding architect of DR Architecten based Hamburg, Germany will be speaking about the German experience of Passivhaus. DR Architecten have been involved in passivhaus projects since 2003 including the Hamburg Haus at the Shanghai Expo in 2011 and Passivhaus apartments in Berlin

UEA Exemplar Building: Creating a passivhaus building that is a carbon sink The UEA are in a tender process in which a team will be appointed to build a 3000m2 building that will be passivhaus and BREEAM outstanding certified and made with low embodied carbon materials. This seminar will look at the challenges associated with such a design brief.

Passivhaus and Hemcrete: Using hemp and lime to create a passivhaus home Using Lime Technology’s Hembuild® timber panels, construction of the 210 square metre home is set to begin in September 2011.
